Lip Blush Healing: What to Expect After Your Appointment

Oct 5
1 min read

Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup treatment, so the colour you see immediately after the appointment is not the final healed result. The lips typically change in appearance as they settle and heal.

Immediately after treatment

The colour can initially look stronger or brighter than the eventual result, and some temporary swelling or sensitivity can occur. Individual responses vary.

During healing

As the lips heal, the surface can feel dry and the colour may appear lighter, patchy or uneven for a period. This does not necessarily represent the final result. Follow the aftercare guidance supplied for your treatment and avoid picking at healing skin.

When the colour settles

Pigment gradually settles into a softer appearance after healing. A follow-up may be recommended where appropriate to assess colour retention and refine the result.
